Golden Croissantwich Sliders with Bananas & Chopped Hazelnuts

Take your croissant to the next level with these golden croissantwich sliders. Bananas, hazelnuts and NUTELLA®, OH MY!


Ingredients
  • 6 Bon Appé Mini NUTELLA® Filled Croissant
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced into ¼-inch (0.5 cm) rounds
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) chopped hazelnuts
  • Icing sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions
  1. Cut open each croissant through the NUTELLA® filled centres. On one side of croissant, add a layer of sliced bananas and then a layer of chopped hazelnuts.
  2. Place other half on top to create your croissantwich.
  3. Heat up your flat griddle to medium high heat. Slather butter on one side of your croissantwich and put the buttered side down on the griddle. Cook until the croissant is crispy and golden (about 1 to 2 minutes).
  4. Slather butter on the side that is facing up and using a spatula flip the croissantwich so the unheated side is now facing downward. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with icing sugar, if using and serve immediately.
